The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2002 with the under graduate course, and it was upgraded to PG Department in the year 2005, and as research department in 2010 with the aim of equipping students with Mathematical knowledge.
Supported by a dedicated faculty, and innovative teaching methodologies the strength of the department is gradually increasing year by year. It has produced distinguished university ranks. At present there are 10 Rank Holders in UG level and 11 Rank Holders in PG level.
Under “Ramanujam Club”, the departmental activities such as one minute speech, Quiz competition and seminars are conducted for the students to encourage them in the mathematical field. To update the students with modern trends in the mathematical field the department is arranges for the invited lectures.
In the end a better understanding of the mathematical present is paired with the realization that mathematics is a living, breathing subject facing new challenges every day. The department inculcates good research culture and motivates the students to meet the expectation of the current scenario.
