Swamy Abedhanandha Educational Trust has the clear vision of “Empowering Women” through Education, Ethics
and Economic Development.
To empower by providing the right academic atmosphere, the best knowledge resources and the equal opportunity to
develop knowledge related and employability skills besides inculcating in them of values embedded in culture and tradition.
Our college emblem symbolizes education on scientific lines, clear thinking, lofty ideals and faith in God which will lead
women to greater success in life.
Inside the protective ring, which bears the name of the college “SRI AKILANDESWARI WOMEN'S COLLEGE” and the
place where it is situated i.e., “WANDIWASH”, Thiruvannalmalai District, there are five symbols in the emblem. The Computer,
Atomic Model, Microscope and wash bottle denotes the science courses offered in the college. The earthen lamp point out to
Thiruvannalmalai Temple where Lord Siva manifests himself in the form of mountain, which itself is regarded as flame of fire,
one of the pancha bhutas. In sense the “lamp” symbolizes; when women are educated they alight the environment, family,
town, nation and the globe at large.
In the centre, we find the letters SAETW which denote the trust that runs the college namely, SWAMY
ABEDHANANDHA EDUCATIONAL TRUST, WANDIWASH.
The words at the top “ m¿Éaš fšÉ kfË® nk«ghL ”emphasizes the fact that the success of humanity in general
and that of India and Tamil Nadu in particular, depends on proliferation of women's education and scientific advancement.To
