Dr.Thilagavathi was the ﬁrst principal of this Institution and her simplicity and care had carried the Institution to a

higher level. Though not in existence her blessings to this Institution will provide a great support. May her blessings be

with the Instituion forever and help to achieve more and more achievements.

Sri Akilandeswari Women's College, Wandiwash had a humble beginning at Thellar and the College was housed

at Thellar Swamy Abedhanandha Polythechic Buildings. The Principal and the staff members were sharing the same

room. Later the College moved to this campus at Wandiwash. The Principal room, Ofﬁce Room and Warden Room were

the Coridor room.

Now the College is blessed the Management to provide separate Principal Room, Warden Room, Staff Room for

each department and Ofﬁce Room. Presently the College runs 3 Ph.D Programmes, 3 M.Phil., Programmes, 8 PG

Courses, and 10 UG Courses and is afﬁliated to Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore . The present strength of the College

around 2300. 110 Teaching Staff & 20 Non – Teaching Staff are visiting this Institution. I am proud to say that Sri

Akilandeswari Women's College is one of the best and standard college in Thiruvalluvar University. I am sure to say that

this College will grow in strength and standard in all aspects in future. I wish that the Management will be blessed with

more potentiality . Wish the Institution a great success.

most respected Chairman is known for such qualities. I came to know that this Institution is accelerating on success

mainly because of young, energetic and innovative leader Ln.Er.Thiru.M.Ramanan. The Professors as glittering stars,

administrative staff as catalyst, highly interested students, supportive parents and public have helped to achieve “A”

grade in NAAC Re-accreditation. Good results with many University Ranks, innumerable Elite and Silver grades in

SWAYAM linked courses, many job opportunities in National and International Companies through Internshala,

participation in all need based courses conducted by Government and Non-Government Institutions, remarkable

percentage of placements, introduction of Ph.D. courses and women development through innovative start- ups are

some important indicators of the academic excellence of this great Institution.

I am proud to be a part of this College since 1995. We started our service at Thellar Swamy Abedhanandha

Polytechnic College, with 30 students and 5 staff members. In 1996, we moved to our original campus at Vandavasi and

every year our Management is striving a lot to upgrade the status of the College, Our Chairman Ln.Thiru

B.Munirathinam Sir and our young champion Ln.Er.Thiru M.Ramanan Sir have done a lot in all ways academically in

order to improve the status of the rural girls and to uplift them and make to lead a conﬁdential independent citizen. This

College has started many Innovative courses, mainly job oriented courses, wherein students can lead a successful

future. The best part of this college ia Alumni and Placement where our Secretary Sir has strived a lot in getting

placement offers to our students. Various clubs are very active in all ways with the constant support of the Management,

Principal. Staff (Teaching and Non-teaching) and Students. A lot can be highlighted of this great Institution and its

achievements. 25 years has passed and Silver Jubilee has been successfully celebrated with many achievements. I

wish that this Institution should grow more and more for the upliftment of the rural women folk.

I was the Principal of Sri Akilandeswari Women's College, Wandiwash from June 2008 to May 2013. That was

the golden period in my life, as I found that this was the only Self ﬁnancing College which gives much importance not only

for Women's study but also a College which cares for Women's Discipline and their Welfare in all aspects. The

Management gives much care for Principal, Staff and Students. Though I had 36 years of experience at various Govt.

Colleges, I never experienced the love and affection which was given by this Management. I can never forget those

memorable days in my life. The students of this College are the luckiest and they had brought laurels to the College by

getting University Ranks and most of them today are in good jobs and position. The Management treats very one as their

family members. I felt homely atmosphere during my service in this Institution. May God Bless the Management to give

them more potential so as to enable them to serve the society of rural women folk in all adventures. I wish the

Swamy Abedhanandha Educational Trust laid its foot prints about 27 years back with high ambition to develop women

education and rural women emancipation. With the same thoughts and dedication our chairman and secretary have

nurtured and catered this institution with amazing facility and fervent dreams.

The dream comes true within short span of time with great impetus growth to a “Bench mark” of colossal

heights. With consecutive efforts this institution has achieved many signiﬁcant reputations such as 2(f) status of UGC in

the year 2006, 12(B) status of UGC in the year 2015, NAAC Re accreditation with A grade in the year 2016 and more

than 500 university rank holders and medals with in a short period. In fact the enviable infrastructure in the midst of

beautiful green garden enhances the beauty of education environment is well maintained successfully and sustainably

to ﬂourish in future

serving this institution.

Over the past years, our college has transformed into an academic knowledge powerhouse that has produced some of

the ﬁnest minds in the Country. We have been at the forefront of providing quality education to students from diverse

backgrounds and creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking,

and a passion for lifelong learning. As we reﬂect on our journey so far, we must acknowledge the tireless efforts and

contributions of our most respected and a model leader Ln.Thiru.B.Munirathinam, Chairman sir, and most respected

and beloved Ln.Thiru.Er.M.Ramanan, Secretary sir. Teaching and administrative staff who have dedicated their lives in

shaping the minds of our students have inspired and nurtured generations of young minds, and their commitment to

excellence is evident in the success stories of our alumni.

Our College has also been a hub of innovation and research where students have been encouraged to explore and

push the boundaries of knowledge. Our laborites, libraries, and research centers have been at the forefront of cutting –

edge research that has contributed to the advancement of knowledge and the betterment of society.

We have also taken great strides towards creating a sustainable and eco – friendly campus that embodies our
